Love

My mom passed away a day after her birthday.

I still remember my dad whispered to my mom, asking her what she wanted. As an 11 year old girl, I wondered how sweet, beautiful, and painful it was at the same time. How love can be effortless, pure, and sincere.

"In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death."

My mom struggled with her illness for 3 years. She asked my dad (several times) that it’s okay if he wanted to go, to find another woman. Until now I can’t imagine myself being my mom. I do know she wanted my dad to be happy. But still, it’s unfair for her.

Later did I realized that both of them have a strong bond, a tight rope that couldn't be broken.

After my mom’s left, my dad decided not to marry another woman. He said that he just wanted to make his kids happy, and (he did it). My dad became a single parent for us until his last breath. I never thought that it was a hard job or maybe a heavy burden to handle alone. One thing that I know is that his love for my mom is endless, and that is what makes him strong.

I learned from my parents that love is what make you strong, it is the reason you wake up every morning, not just to see our loved ones but to cherish every moment with them, until the time ends . It's not only about all the good and happy memories, but also the hard times when you have to carry your heavy luggage in your shoulder.
